Synopsis Christmas 1939. The war has begun but the effects haven’t set in yet. In Somerset, Operation Pied Piper has brought an influx of women and children from the cities, and this Christmas is unlike any other that has happened before. For a group of young creative people, their lives continue. They celebrate, commiserate and contrive to maintain their ideals in a changing world. But as the world turns darker and challenges arise, will love be enough? Somerset Operawill perform Puccini’s much-loved masterpiece La Bohème, bringing its unforgettable music and moving story to life in an evening of passion, laughter and heartbreak. Sung in English, the production promises to be a feast for the senses.
